This is a beautiful example of the traditional mosaic on shell work from Santo Domingo (Kewa) Pueblo. Bands of jet and mother of pearl divide the overlaid turquoise mosaic from the exposed shell on this piece by Catherine Lucero. The pendant is attached to a matching turquoise necklace.
